The cause of stomach ulcers
It is thought that about 90 percent of stomach ulcers result from an intestinal bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. The
other 10 percent are from taking very strong acidic medication like pain killers or any other highly acidic substance.
For the most part, I think that stomach ulcers mainly come from having a digestive system that is sluggish and clogged
from years of incorrect eating.
Helicobacter pylori can further aggravate an ulcer, making it far worse than it need be, so you definitely need to nail the
little buggers, but you should also look at cleaning out your digestive system, and at the same time get your body all the
help it needs to heal itself.
Ayurvedic doctors appear to take a similar approach. Anxiety or too much stress, although no longer regarded as a
primary cause of stomach ulcers, can definitely have an impact.
I think that with the discovery of helicobacter pylori, and its role in the formation of stomach ulcers, they may just have
undervalued the impact that stress can have on the situation.

My stomach ulcer story
I suffered with stomach ulcers for more than two years.
It started off slowly, first, experiencing a sharp pain in my stomach that would last for half an hour and then dissipate. As
time went by the stomach pain became more frequent and long lived.
By the time I found the cure I had spent two entire days in agony with no sleep. I had seen 5 different doctors
comprised of GP's, specialists etc.
None of them made any difference, okay, maybe the omeprozole tablets that the GP subscribed did help for a month,
but soon after the medication was over, the stomach ulcer was back in full force, picking up where it left off.
In desperation I started searching the internet for a cure.

My stomach ulcer cure
I found one. Manuka honey from Australia. I didn't have a credit card. How was I going to get that stuff to South
Africa?
I decided to phone around for a local source and that's where I found the second cure. A readily available remedy for
stomach ulcers. A natural cure. Available all over the world. Now those little Helicobacters where in for it.
The helpful and sympathetic lady at the health shop recommended Mastic Gum. The owner of the health shop had also
suffered from stomach ulcers and Mastic Gum was the answer.
A friend of mine had recommended that I drink apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon in a medium sized glass of water
every morning and evening about half an hour before eating anything.
I took his advice and along with it 2000mg mastic gum every evening before going to sleep.
Within a few weeks of taking the Mastic Gum and apple cider vinegar there where no signs of any stomach ulcer, I was
cured.
It's been 4 years now and my stomach is still fine. I did finish the whole course though, just to be on the safe side.
A few weeks later my dear sister in Australia sent me some Manuka honey. My stomach ulcer was already cured but
one more remedy couldn't do any harm so I guzzled a bit every day. Tasty stuff.
Whether you buy these from amazon.com or not, I encourage you to read their product pages and see what others who have used them have to say.
I was truly amazed at how powerful and versatile these remedies can be, especially Manuka Honey.
Food that's easy on a stomach ulcer
Potatoes became one of my staple foods during the whole stomach ulcer ordeal and green vegetables like green beans
where okay.
I avoided coffee and normal tea but drank Bush tea or Rooibos tea as it's called here. I dropped my sugar intake as
much as possible and drank water most of the time.
I also avoided meat. You might have to do that for a little while until your stomach ulcer has had a chance to heal. I
never stopped smoking, although that could've helped as well.
I avoided milk as well as all wheat products. Pizza was totally out of the question.
I did find that eating a little at a time was the best way of avoiding pain, and it helped clear the space so the ulcer remedy
could work.
It is however important to eat something friendly every day so your stomach acids will have something to work on apart
from your ulcer.
You can also have a look at my Acid Reflux Food - GERD Diet page for more pointers on what to eat.

Stomach ulcer diet
there is no specific stomach ulser diet I would recommend, however, there is an entire food group that should be your
only catalog of foods to choose from, namely, all the alkalizing food types.
You'll notice that this will make you an instant vegetarian. In the previous chapter I mentioned that I ate potatoes.
Although potatoes fall into the acidifying food group, I found them to be mild enough not to cause too much harm.
Fast stomach ulcer relief
If you need quick stomach ulcer relief, then the best thing I have found is to drink a few glasses of water, each with
about a tablespoon or more of apple cider vinegar.
This will have a nuetralizing effect on your stomach acid while at the same time flushing your stomach contents down the
digestive tract.
This isn't an immediate relief, but it has some long term benefits as well.
Keep drinking the stuff untill you feel the pain starting to subside (just don't drown yourself with it though).
Another solution I would like you to consider, is a guided system to cure peptic ulcers as well as all stomach acid
problems - Here
No matter what type of acid reflux or digestive - intestinal related
condition you have.

Whether you suffer from: Acid Reflux Disease (GERD),
Hiatal Hernia, Gastritis, peptic ulcers, Esophageal Reflux, or Bile Reflux:
The principles outlined in this Heartburn system can cure and prevent your
condition
These principals have been proven to work and show outstanding results,
regardless of your age, gender or lifestyle.
Special note:
The use of prescribed medication and it's benefits can't be ruled out as an aid to suppressing H pylori and the combined
use could have a short term beneficial effect, but one thing I know for sure is that your stomach ulcer cure comes from
eliminating Helicobacter pylori and aiding your body's ability to heal itself, and not from messing with your stomachs
ability to produce acid, However, Helicobacter pylori thrive on stomach acid so any reduction in that department will
have a definite impact.

Why Mastic gum:
The advantages of mastic gum are twofold.

1: Mastic gum kills Helicobacter pylori.
2: Mastic gum helps protect the stomach lining (I have heard that raw egg white might also help).

Apple cider vinegar:
The reason why apple cider vinegar is so effective is that it is very high in vitamin K, which helps to prevent internal
bleeding by aiding your blood clotting.
It also helps balance your body's PH and is a strong antiseptic.
Apple cider vinegar has an alkalizing effect on the stomach and helps with the process of elimination.
I regard apple cider vinegar as the most important natural remedy for most stomach ailments.

The stomach ulcer cure

Welcome.
Here is the stomach ulcer cure that worked for me and the basics of what you need to know to cure your stomach
ulcer.
While I personally know that this stomach ulcer cure works, I cannot make any claims to it's medicinal value on the
grounds that I am not a qualified medical practitioner.
Your stomach ulcer may be from a more serious cause like stomach cancer etc. Please have it checked out by a doctor.

Stomach ulcer symptoms
Two immediately recognizable stomach ulcer symptoms are a feeling of extreme bloating and a gnawing ache in the pit
of your stomach or solar plexus accompanied by a corresponding back ache where your stomach ulcer is.
Some people may experience nausea and vomiting, dark stools (not the kind you sit on) and usually suffer from
constipation.

Some stomach ulcer symptoms to beware of:
If you experience any of the above stomach ulcer symptoms and you vomit blood (this will look a bit like coffee
granules) or your stools are dark - almost black, then you have a bleeding ulcer.
If you are taking a lot of iron supplements this will have a similar effect on your stool so don't take them if you want to
be sure.
A friend of mine was slowly bleeding to death from stomach ulcers, but was none the wiser because he was taking a lot
of iron tablets. By the time the ambulance got him to the hospital he only had one litre of blood left in his body.
Knowing which stomach ulcer symptoms to watch for can save your life, but now that you've found my site, there's no
reason whatsoever for it to ever come to that.
The good news
First off, Let me tell you that within a few weeks of using my stomach ulcer cure, definitely no longer than a few months, you should be eating whatever you like without any ill feelings in your stomach "Within reason of course".
Secondly, the reason for your stomach ulcer is not necessarily stress, overwork, worry or any such psychological cause, Although removing those aggravating circumstances can definitely help you recover quicker. Whether it's a duodenal ulcer or a peptic ulcer also makes no difference.
